Adult Day Assistant
A volunteer assistant is needed for the Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council's Adult Day Program on Mondays 11am-3 pm.
Responsibilities: Assist Adult Day Facilitator with group activities and clients’ needs during the group session. Encourage participation in group activities. Follow directions of Adult Day Facilitator.
Qualifications: Cheerful and friendly attitude, flexibility, adaptability, and patience. Willingness to learn about dementia type diseases and special needs of clients with dementia. Demonstrates a level of comfort in working with people with memory loss.
Training: Video and other training as needed. Support is always available through Adult Day Facilitator and Director of Social Services.
